Your mission, roles and responsibilities

Key Objectives of the Role

Daily Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and ensure proper tax compliance for all Legal Entities.
  • Prepare and file monthly provisional and final tax payments.
  • Perform annual tax calculations and filings.
  • Manage tax refund claims for favorable tax balances.
  • Oversee tax offset processes.
  • Handle tax reconciliations and cross-check procedures (compulsas).
  • Respond to inquiries and requirements from the SAT (Mexican Tax Authority).
  • Provide support to internal and external customers on tax-related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with reporting obligations to INEGI and the Ministry of Economy.
  • Ensure fulfillment of corporate tax compliance obligations.
  • Monitor and reconcile tax-related general ledger accounts.
  • Manage notifications, registrations, and updates to the Federal Taxpayers Registry (RFC).

Frequent Responsibilities

  • Support and coordinate internal and external tax audits.
  • Follow up on tax litigation matters.
  • Coordinate and support Transfer Pricing studies.
  • Identify and obtain applicable government incentives and tax benefits.

Occasional Responsibilities

  • Respond to tax audits, inspections, and on-site visits by tax authorities.
  • Coordinate projects to ensure compliance with new tax laws and regulatory reforms.
  • Communicate and advise internal stakeholders regarding changes in tax legislation and their potential impact on the business.

Your profile and competencies to succeed

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Public Accounting and ideally a Master's Degree in Taxation or a related field.

Languages (desired proficiency): Advanced English.

Experience: 3+ years.

Required Technical Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
  • Solid understanding of general accounting principles.
  • Experience with internal and external audits.
  • Proficiency in the SAT (Mexican Tax Authority) portal.
  • SAP experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience with one of the Big Four accounting firms (preferred).
  • Corporate tax calculation and compliance.
  • Management of tax compliance obligations.
  • Transfer pricing knowledge and experience.
