Your mission, roles and responsibilities
Our Faurecia Clarion Electronics (FCE) Business Group - Engineering Division is looking for a Hardware Electronics Architect to be based at Site Location.
The Hardware Electronics Architect will be responsible for defining the best Hardware architecture for a product or a system considering customer requirements, legal, cyber security, functional safety requirements.
Main Missions
Engage with significant challenges and work on important missions that make a difference, with core role tasks including:
- Conduct requirements analysis and management.
- Address cyber security aspects related to electronics.
- Ensure functional safety in electronic designs.
- Define hardware product architecture.
- Manage quality, cost, and customer planning and deadlines.
- Implement a design-to-cost approach.
- Conduct technology surveys and drive innovation.
- Perform in-depth hardware analysis for system and hardware requirements (for new concepts, platform products, RFI-RFQ).
- Develop hardware architectures that align with specifications, mechanical integration, and design manufacturing.
- Ensure consistency between architecture proposals and compliance matrices.
- Collaborate on design-to-cost activities with the purchasing department and product technical leader.
- Identify and report risks and opportunities within the project team.
- Establish and maintain sourcing relationships with purchasing departments and suppliers.
- Assist in building demonstrators if required (A-sample).
- Support technical meetings with suppliers and customers (occasional business trips may be necessary).
- Foster synergy between architecture and designs.
- Provide justifications for design choices.
- Contribute to the enhancement of architecture tools and templates (e.g., architecture diagrams, power trees, BOMs, hardware functions, sourcing).
Hard Skills & Tools
- Technical experience in domains such as electronics, mechanics, industrialization, or test benches.
- Successful product launches in mass production.
- Proficiency in electronic design, mechanical integration, and design manufacturing.
- Ability to propose alternative designs in both electronics and mechanics, collaborating with designers and experts.
- Global understanding of the interplay between software, electronics, mechanics, and industrialization.
- Knowledge of functional safety and cybersecurity.
- Appreciation for knowledge in software architecture.
- Curiosity and commitment to technology surveys.

Your profile and competencies to succeed
Education
- Master/Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics/Computer Science
Experience
- Experience of minimum 10 years in Electronic Product Design in automotive (Power, digital, analog, RF, video, audio…), and mechanical integration
Language
- Strong language proficiency in both written and spoken English.
