Your mission, roles and responsibilities

Faurecia Clarion Electronics (FCE) is seeking an experienced Product Development Lead to drive the end-to-end technical delivery of automotive electronic products and platforms from RFQ through development, industrialization, launch, and series production support. The role serves as the primary technical interface with customers and leads cross-functional teams to achieve quality, cost, timing, and performance objectives.


Roles & Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Program Delivery

  • Lead product development activities across RFQ, design, validation, industrialization, launch, and serial-life support.
  • Own technical plans, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and engineering readiness.
  • Coordinate System, Software, Hardware, Mechanical, Validation, Functional Safety, Cybersecurity, Industrialization, and Manufacturing teams.

Customer & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary technical contact for customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Lead technical reviews, requirement clarifications, issue resolution, and technical negotiations.
  • Drive alignment on priorities, risks, assumptions, and technical decisions.

Requirements, Integration & Validation Governance

  • Ensure requirements are analyzed, allocated, traced, implemented, and validated.
  • Drive consistency across architecture, design, verification, validation, safety, and cybersecurity.
  • Monitor integration maturity, testing progress, defects, and technical debt.

Quality, Risk & Change Management

  • Identify and mitigate technical risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Lead impact assessments for engineering changes, customer requests, and component updates.
  • Ensure compliance with quality processes, configuration management, and root-cause analysis methodologies.

Industrialization & Production Support

  • Support DFM, production readiness, pilot builds, launch activities, and manufacturing issue resolution.
  • Coordinate responses to field issues, supplier changes, software releases, and component obsolescence.

Budget, Resource & Performance Management

  • Monitor engineering budgets, resource utilization, forecasts, and technical KPIs.
  • Support capacity planning, recovery actions, and executive status reporting.
  • Maintain dashboards covering schedule, scope, risks, defects, resources, and costs.

Your profile and competencies to succeed

Qualifications

  • BE/B.Tech in Electronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.

Experience Required

  • 12-14 years of automotive product development experience with strong technical leadership exposure.
  • Experience leading complex automotive electronics programs through RFQ, development, validation, industrialization, launch, and customer delivery.
  • Experience in Cockpit Electronics, Infotainment, CDC, Displays, Clusters, Connectivity, and Camera-based systems.
  • Experience managing global engineering teams, suppliers, customer commitments, and large development programs.

Key Technical Skills

  • Automotive embedded systems lifecycle, systems engineering, requirements management, integration, validation, and release management.
  • ASPICE processes and working knowledge of Functional Safety, Cybersecurity, Diagnostics, DFMEA, Change Management, and Quality Planning.
  • Agile/Scrum and traditional development methodologies.
  • Tools: Jira, Confluence, Requirements Management, PLM, Configuration Management, and Defect Tracking Systems.
  • Ability to translate complex technical issues into clear decisions, recovery plans, and customer communications.

  • Strong leadership, ownership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Customer-focused with strong execution and accountability.
