Your mission, roles and responsibilities
Position Summary:
The Plant Manufacturing Engineering is in charge of managing processes and people in order to:
- Ensure that series production meets customer requirements
- Support to the continuous improvement process
- Ensure the plant readiness to launch successful new programs
- Manage and report key ME indicators
Responsibilities:
Series production
- Support the engineering change management process
- Build the engineering budget and the plant CAPEX; and ensure their application
- Monitor capacity utilization
- Plan, monitor and coordinate the work of external companies
- Participate to the Division industrial strategy
- Develop capital budget requirements to adhere to established facilities standards
- Create and introduce procedures regarding the tasks of his field of responsibility
- Support problem solving initiatives
- Participate to the plant PDP
Continuous improvement process
- Support the continuous improvement process in Labor, Quality, Equipment and Engineering
Plant readiness to launch new programs
- Participate in the definition of the production process and selection of machines and equipment
- Support production in the start of new processes to ensure a successful SOP (initial samples, run @ rate, work instructions) managing PLTL’s.
- Participate to the gate reviews and validate the industrial gate reviews
- Support to RFQ (Request for Quotation) in order to give manufacturing inputs
People Management
- Staff, train coach, assess and develop the plant ME and PLTL teams (direct or dotted line)
- Support and train other networks/functions (PSE, QSE…)
- Participation in the management of the expertise network (knowledge capitalization)
Reporting
- Consolidate ME key indicators of the plants and propose action plans
HSE
- Support commitments established in the ISO 14001 Environmental Policy.
- Conform to requirements established in Spring Hill Plant ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) procedures and work instructions.
- Ensure members in assigned area(s) of responsibility conform to relevant HSE requirements.
- Support environmental programs to achieve objectives and targets.
Other
- Follow values established within Being Faurecia. Act with an entrepreneurial mindset as well as with autonomy and accountability.
- Act in accordance with the behaviors as established in Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management.

Position Specifications
- Issue disciplinary actions to operators/GAP Leaders based on company rules and policies; including, but not limited to suspend employees.
- Stop the line to protect operators and customers from potential harm or quality issues
- Set schedules based on customer demands; including but not limited to run overtime.
- Decide on technical resources requirements to solve specific issues (i.e. maintain the facilities, equipment, services).
- Perform machine changes as needed.
- Make changes to planned maintenance schedule as needed.
- Schedule specific technical trainings from suppliers/ vendors.
Your profile and competencies to succeed
Education / Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in production area, including one position in Manufacturing Engineering
- Preferably a Master degree in engineering or applicable work experience
- Trained in Faurecia Excellence System and Program Management System
- Experience in program launch
- Proficient level of English
Knowledge / Skills:
- Good financial skills (costing, budget, investment)
- Leadership skills
- Ability to interface with other functions - Networking capabilities.
- International mindset
- Strong communication skills, ability to manage functional network and line management
