Job Description: 

The Plant Quality Engineer is responsible for implementing process control programs that ensure the production of finished goods meets or exceeds customer-specified requirements. This role also leads continuous improvement initiatives using appropriate quality tools and performs data analysis to support process optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from feasibility phases through post-launch quality support and throughout the product's production lifecycle.
  • Facilitate Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) activities with Engineering in conjunction with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), and monitor their status throughout the production lifecycle.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with the quality documentation system and promote consistency across the organization.
  • Conduct investigations to determine the root causes of defects and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain customer complaint records, facilitating and participating in corrective action processes.
  • Train and instruct personnel in auditing techniques and the proper use of inspection and testing equipment.
  • Monitor and review quality documentation to ensure compliance with applicable requirements.
  • Visit customers and suppliers when necessary.
  • Serve as the liaison between external customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Review manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and drive continuous improvement in product and process quality.
  • Perform all responsibilities in compliance with IATF 16949 requirements.
  • Has the authority to stop production processes or quarantine products that are out of control.
  • Maintain knowledge of the management systems applicable to the role, including IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.

 

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in the industrial sector, preferably within the automotive industry.
  • Intermediate English proficiency.
