Your mission, roles and responsibilities

The role of a Process Engineer is to manage the process of equipment – existing and purchases, tool design, tool build and tool try out, respecting objectives set in terms of Quality, Cost and Delivery. The main missions of the role are to:

1.    Be responsible for the successful completion of programs from receipt of order through a successful 'Run at Rate.'
2.    Manage PFMEA Documentation.
3.    Responsible for Parameters related to the process.
4.    Use the Advanced Product Quality Planning process to ensure objectives are met.
5.    Track and report the status of the project, following the ratio of expenses against budget and monitoring quality, cost and delivery performance (i.e. presentations, meetings, customer visits¿)
6.    Be in charge of communication with the customer and for providing documentation.
7.    Keep up to date documentation related to new equipment &tooling. 
8.    Manage Engineer Change Requests (quoting, implementation, etc...)
9.    Ensure the new tooling equipment conforms with the Group's Health, Safety & Environment standards.
10.    Validate the tooling & equipment (Run at Rate)
11.    Contribute to the improvement of tooling standards.
12.    Train the operators on the safe operation of new tooling &equipment, properly identified, and provide them with tooling & equipment instruction.
13.    Propose and implement continuous productivity and quality improvement actions concerning subcontracting and tooling department services.
14.    Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management
15.    Assist other departments to secure the quality of the product.
16.    Responsible for Health, Safety and Environmental.
17.    Other tasks assigned according to the position and company needs

Your profile and competencies to succeed

Minimum education level 

  • BS in Engineering or equivalent plus two-(2) years directly related experience

Professional Experience 

  • Proficient level of English
  • Strong analytical and problem solving-skills (required).
  • Economics skills (cost tracking)
  • Working knowledge of Quality systems and Health, Safety & Environment practices 

Experience

  • Math, CAD, Mechanical, (Solid Work, AutoCAD, Software experience).
  • MIG Welding Skills experiences (Miller and SKS software experience)  \
  • Robotics, PLC Troubleshooting, and Flexibility. (Motoman and Fanuc software).
  • Knowledge of Process and Manufacturing Methods. (Minitab Software experience and SPC).
  • Good working knowledge Quality Operating Systems FMEA, Control plan and APQP.
  • Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment. This position requires the incumbent to become familiar with the Manufacturing Processes of the facility, Layout and Time Studies.
  • Familiarity with Company Policies and Safety Programs. (Pilz, Sick unit and Keyence software).
  • An international mindset.

Physical Requirements

  • Exposed to heat in the summer and cold in the winter.
  • Job involves lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, gloves, ear protection, and safety anti-cut sleeves required in production area due to physical hazards from moving equipment, machine parts, and product.
