Your mission, roles and responsibilities
The role of a Process Engineer is to manage the process of equipment – existing and purchases, tool design, tool build and tool try out, respecting objectives set in terms of Quality, Cost and Delivery. The main missions of the role are to:
- Be responsible for the successful completion of programs from receipt of order through a successful 'Run at Rate.'
- Develops and creates appropriate processes utilizing tools such as APQP, FMEA, 8D, etc. to achieve program targets and maximize customer satisfaction.
- Responsible for Parameters related to the process.
- Track and report the status of the project, following the ratio of expenses against budget and monitoring quality, cost and delivery performance (i.e. presentations, meetings, customer visits)
- Be in charge of communication with the customer and for providing documentation.
- Keep up to date documentation related to new equipment &tooling.
- Manage Engineer Change Requests (quoting, implementation, etc...)
- Ensure the new tooling equipment conforms with the Group's Health, Safety & Environment standards.
- Validate the tooling & equipment (Run at Rate)
- Contribute to the improvement of tooling standards.
- Train the operators on the safe operation of new tooling &equipment, properly identified, and provide them with tooling & equipment instruction.
- Propose and implement continuous productivity and quality improvement actions concerning subcontracting and tooling department services.
- Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management
- Assist other departments to secure the quality of the product.
- Responsible for Health, Safety and Environmental.
- Other tasks assigned according to the position and company needs.
Your profile and competencies to succeed
Minimum education level
- BS in Engineering or equivalent plus two-(2) years directly related experience.
- Proficient level of English
- Strong analytical and problem solving-skills (required).
- Economics skills (cost tracking)
- Working knowledge of Quality systems and Health, Safety & Environment practices
