Your mission, roles and responsibilities

Within the production team, you ensure product and process compliance with the control plan and quality standards (IATF 16949), while actively supporting continuous improvement on the shopfloor.
 
The main missions of the role are:

  • Authority to stop production in case of non-conformity and escalate issues when needed.
  • Maintain and ensure consistency of shopfloor quality documentation with the control plan.
  • Verify availability and capability of measuring equipment.
  • Ensure proper traceability and management of quality records (SPC when applicable).
  • Lead containment actions within 24 hours for non-conformities (blocking, sorting, additional controls).
  • Analyze customer complaints and support problem solving using quality tools (8D, PFMEA, Ishikawa, PDCA, etc.).
  • Monitor quality KPIs (scrap, NRFT, sorting costs) and support production teams.
  • Participate in PFMEA activities, engineering changes, and new program launches (control plan updates, training, PPAP preparation).

Your profile and competencies to succeed

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent technical field.

Experience

  • A first experience in manufacturing or quality (internship, academic project, or apprenticeship) is a plus.
  • Exposure to problem-solving activities or continuous improvement projects is appreciated.
  • Interest in manufacturing environments and shopfloor activities.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.

Skills & Competencies

  • Basic understanding of quality fundamentals (MSA, capability study, R&R, SPC, Pareto analysis, FMEA, Control Plan, problem-solving methods).
  • Analytical mindset with willingness to learn and solve problems in a team environment.
  • Awareness of quality methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing and PPAP is a plus.
  • Proactive attitude and interest in continuous improvement.
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Good level of English.
