The main missions of the role are:

Provide FES expertise and coaching (HSE, Quality, EE, PC&L and Production system) based on 11 lean manufacturing principles to contribute to achieve operational business.

Assist the Operations Director in developing the budget and strategic Plan (SP) for the region (based on benchmarking and gap analysis) plus validating the Plant Improvement Plans (PIP).
-
Define FES&P priorities to achieve plant targets (plant output targets and FES&P input activities).

Confirm the relevance of the PIP in the achievement of the budget and SP target (including new
Programs, new technologies/Digital transformation/footprint)
-
Perform shop floor diagnosis and define recommendations.
-
Ensure that FES Principles are applied/respected in Programs from design stage (Standard Process Deployment to layout, work content, cardboard workshop activities, validation of : Equipment design, MFID, process layout, packaging, etc. in accordance with FES principles)

Provide, according to needs, FES knowledge and skills to the plant team, in their correct daily use of the FES standards (through training and coaching activities)

Propose FES training plan by function to plants/division according the PIP and the gap to FES skills requirement.

Support the Plant Manager for new plants: in FES deployment plan definition, implementation & tracking

Be an active change agent within sites, by cultivating an FES & Lean Manufacturing mind set.

Accountable within the MOD cost budget for the construction & achievement of an efficient plant productivity plan, through “MOD cost management” & “MOD cost improvement”

MOD Cost Management by plant:
-
Ensure routings and coefficient data management for standard labor cost accuracy.
-
Contribute to MOD budget construction by validating the analysis the total DL cost breakdown based on DLE, DLP and the productivity plan.
-
Ensure DLE/DLP tracking process by using the P&L. Contribute to closing the direct labor cost gap, through budget analysis and detailed action plan.

Ensure that Plants create conditions to meet SW adherence (training, rigor and discipline application)

MOD cost improvement:
-
Validate and review systematically the Plant Productivity Plans with Plant Managers
-
Contribute and coach on the correct tool selection and effective implementation. (Such as 5 hoshin Basics, DLE/DLP levers assessment etc, linked to KPIs measuring Labor performance.

Pilot and animate the FES & P network within their perimeter as well as participating in the BG and Group worldwide activities

Liaise with Group Experts to ensure knowledge of Group Standards and best practices are developed

Manage Division/own perimeter FES network through meetings, trainings, projects, sharing best practices,..).

Ensure the assessment, training and development of the Plant FES&P network

Participate in the selection and validation process of the Plant FES&P Manager and ensure succession plans exist for FES positions within his/her perimeter
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have/be:
Minimum education level: Master’s degree.
Experience:
-
Recommended 5 years of FES (or equivalent) practice at Plant level
-
Recognized experience and ability to improve process KPIs in a plant by using FES principles
-

Proven experience in a management/leadership role in a plant (ME, UAP, PCL or FES&P)
-
Previous working experience of program environment (PLTL, PMS) or Manufacturing/Process engineering is a plus
