Your mission, roles and responsibilities

The ME Trainee position is intended for a Mechanical Engineering graduate or final-year student, with a strong interest in an industrial/manufacturing environment and regular shopfloor exposure.

The main mission of the role is to support cross-functional activities related to new industrial projects, working closely with Engineering, Logistics and Operations teams, while developing technical, organizational and process knowledge.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support the monitoring, processing and administrative follow-up of customer requests during the program phase of new projects;
  • Assist in the advanced preparation of components required for production series within the scope of new projects;
  • Participate in the inventory control of raw material and finished goods linked to new projects;
  • Support the coordination of administrative processes between the different departments involved (Engineering, Logistics, Production, Quality);
  • Attend and actively participate in regular project follow-up meetings, contributing to status updates and action tracking;
  • Collaborate in the definition and execution of packaging tests and road-tests, under the supervision of senior engineers;
  • Contribute to the identification of improvement opportunities, challenging existing physical and administrative flows, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives related to new projects.

Profile

  • Degree (or final-year student) in Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering field;
  • Strong interest in manufacturing environments, with willingness to be present on the shopfloor;
  • Motivation to learn and develop skills in Engineering, Logistics and Project Management;
  • Interest in new project development and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Analytical and structured thinking, with the ability to understand processes and follow project milestones;
  • Organizational and planning skills, enabling effective follow-up of tasks, inventories and administrative flows;
  • Communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to interact with multiple departments (Engineering, Logistics, Production, Quality);
  • Proactivity and sense of responsibility, showing initiative in supporting project activities and identifying improvement opportunities;
  • Problem-solving mindset, with curiosity to challenge existing processes and suggest enhancements;
  • Ability to work with data, documentation and basic reporting tools;
  • Attention to detail and reliability in the execution of tasks;
  • Good command of English (spoken and written) is a plus, in an international or customer-facing context.
