Our Plant is looking for a Plant Production Quality Engineer to be based in São João da Madeira.
Your mission, roles and responsibilities
The Plant Production Quality Engineer is responsible to ensure product & process conformity in accordance with the control plan and the right application of the quality principles (FES, ISO/TS16949) for his/her scope.
The main missions of the role are:
- Update the inspection instructions, ensuring application and discipline
- Approve the work instruction of the production line
- Ensure respect of Control Plan
- Be responsible for the implementation of Quality Tools (QRCI / 8D,Mandatory Rules / Poka yoke, Lessons Learnt, 7 Basics, SPC, ...)
- Train and coach people of his perimeter on Quality Tools
- Ensure that operators are trained and qualified in term of product and process
- Perform regular audit to ensure the respect of standardise work
- Ensure that parts without any defects are delivered to the customer, and for each derogation there is an action plan followed by the plant.
- Be responsible of the containment within 24h (D3) for any complaint
- Leads team members in problem solving initiatives to fix issues on the line by using QRCI / 8D
- Update daily quality indicators on the shop floor
- Archive all quality records
- Authority to stop non-conforming product and production with immediate escalation to the quality manager Update the inspection instructions, ensuring application and discipline
- Be referent for quality methodology within the UAP
- Respect Quality targets defined by the Quality Manager
Your profile and competencies to succeed
Minimum education level: Minimum education level: Bachelor or equivalent experience (Quality, Production, Engineering (manufacturing, development…);
Professional quality experience;
Experience of leading problem solving initiatives;
Quality foundation (capability study, SPC, FMEA, problem solving methodology, Control Plan etc.);
Strong analytical and proven team problem solving skills;
Continuous improvement attitude;
English Skills;
Nice to have: Audit experience;
Good communication and interpersonal skills;
Ability to anticipate issues and provide solutions;
Strong attention to detail.
