Your mission, roles and responsibilities
Are you passionate about ensuring the highest quality standards for complex and innovative products? Do you have experience in managing suppliers and applying advanced quality tools and methods? If so, you might be the perfect fit for our Advanced Supplier Quality Engineer position!
As an Advanced Supplier Quality Engineer, you will work closely with the program buyer and the program team to oversee the supplier’s performance for high complexity programs, involving multiple plants, products, and start dates. You will be responsible for deploying and monitoring the APQP process, from development to launch, and ensuring the delivery of validated PPAPs. You will also provide technical guidance and feedback to the suppliers and the Forvia plant and manage the process qualification and audit at the supplier. You will secure the key characteristics of the products and manage the improvement plans for low performance suppliers.
Your profile and competencies to succeed
Overall responsibilities and duties:
- Support SQD to develop supplier for China Division and give reasonable input for purchase strategy.
- Co-work with RD/PB/SQD performs engineering clarification before supplier nomination commitment, access feasibility and identify risk before SNC.
- Based on CC/SC, guarantee feasibility and process stability in supplier assembly. Charge of supplier assembly robust no matter CTQ or CTP.
- Charge of capacity analysis at supplier end to meet project demand.
- On site visit to access supplier readiness status to meet project milestone.
- Setup and maintain PPAP deliverable.
- As FCE Quality window, to sign off PSW with supplier.
- Review work products such as Requirements for System, Software, and Hardware (Mechanical and Electronics), System Architecture, and Analysis (e.g., FMEA) to ensure sufficient quality of these work products.
- Drive escalations proactively in case of insufficient closure progress or potential compliance issues with standards and regulations.
- Moderate and support problem-solving activities using quality methods like 5Why,FTA, 8D,6sigma etc.
- Assess and audit suppliers to identify weaknesses with our internal standards/regulations.

- Lead Quality Problem solving at supplier end in Project Phase
- Enhance Supplier Process Efficiency and Best Practices
- Charge supplier process stability and robust
- Document and Report supplier PPAP status and lesson learn
- Solve the issues during APQP process for supplier side
