Your mission, roles and responsibilities

The role of the Shipping Supervisor within a plant is to coordinate the collect of the finish goods from the final assembly lines based in the production plan to make the shipments to accomplish the daily shipping plan to the customers. The main missions of the role are to:

  • Identify and attend all the topics related to safety operation.
  • Ensure the accomplishment of requirements for ISO TS 16949, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Systems focused to PC&L.
  • Ensure and facilitate compliance of applicable controls from Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety management systems within their area of responsibility.
  • Analyse, understand and anticipate the customer needs, ensuring the shipments of the goods to the customers.
  • Follow up the achievement of the customer delivery program by managing alerts and following up with the transportation and the delivery of pieces.
  • Optimise resources (men, equipment and flows).
  • Manage the pool and safety stocks levels.
  • Check that the sequencer and procurements are consistent with the PDP.
  • Keep running the KANBAN system based in the leveling board.
  • Ensure the proper electronic notifications to the customers (ASN´s in time)
  • Manage the customer portals to drive and track the key performans indicators with of all them (EDI, ASN, SMART, COVISINT).
  • Empty containers tracking process witht the customers ( including the sister plants or intercompany).

Your profile and competencies to succeed

Minimum education level:

  • Technical career or bachelor´s degree ideally.

Professional Experience: 

  • Experience in production, inventory control, shipping in an industrial environment.
  • Basic english.
  • Knowledge in TS 16949, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Systems focused to PC&L.
  • Availability to rolling shifts.
  • Knolegde to track customer requirements.
  • Knolegde to follow PDP daily.
  • Ability to deploy Pull System.
  • Shop floor management.
  • Supplier Scheduling and Improvement.
  • Information system management.
  • Transportation and Packaging design and monitoring.
  • M&I.
  • Knowledge in customer Misdeliveries Per Million.
  • Experience in follow up the customer delivery program.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement apply to PC&L.
  • Experience in follow up procurements with the PDP.
  • Experience in develop people
