Your mission, roles and responsibilities
We are seeking a highly motivated Quality Engineer to join our team in the automotive sector. The role is responsible for ensuring compliance with quality systems, driving continuous improvement, and supporting production teams in achieving excellence in product and process quality.
The main missions of the role are:

Ensure compliance with the requirements of the implemented systems IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and C-TPAT focused on Quality.

Define and update inspection instructions according to the control plan (for example: final inspection instructions, first piece OK, control charts, etc.).

Approve work instructions on production lines and ensure that all necessary inspections are included, that the required time is incorporated into standardized work sheets, and that measurement equipment is available and meets requirements (MSA).

Ensure adherence to the control plan.
-
Archive all Quality records in accordance with the control plan and the record retention procedure.
-
Support production supervisors in the implementation of the 8 Quality basics (training, implementation, monitoring, alert in case of deviation…).

Regularly perform audits (covering all shifts) to ensure operators respect standardized work.

Actively participate in 8D’s/FAST/KATA of UAP and ensure rigorous application of the methodology.

Update UAP Quality indicators daily and ensure that quality indicators are monitored by GAP leaders of the lines.

Drive continuous improvement in the UAP.

Have the authority to stop any nonconforming product and/or process and immediately escalate it to the Quality Manager.

These functions are indicative and not limiting to the performance of other activities that may be required.

Support activities of new projects and Engineering Changes within the assigned area.
Your profile and competencies to succeed
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have/be:

Minimum education level: Industrial, Manufacturing, and/or Mechanical Engineer.
Experience:
-
At least 3 years of Quality experience focused on the automotive industry.
-
Training as an internal auditor in IATF, LPA, CQI-15, CIQ.
-
Experience in PPAP; APQP: Process Flow, FMEA, Control Plan, Process Flow Diagram, and management of KPC/KCC.
-
Knowledge of Geometric Tolerances / Blueprint reading.
-
Experience in problem-solving methodology: 8D.
-
Proficiency in SAP, Minitab, Microsoft Office, MLEAN.

Knowledge of customer specifications (GM: SQMS, SPPS, SCMS, SCDB; Chrysler: GIM, NCT, Global Score Card, CQMS, Change Notice, 3CPR).

Availability to work flexible hours.
