Your mission, roles and responsibilities
The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing the production of parts to achieve the organization's objectives through teamwork, continuous improvement, and employee development, within the framework of the Faurecia Excellence System (FES) and the Being Faurecia culture. The role also promotes environmental stewardship in accordance with ISO 14001 requirements.
The main missions of the role are:
- Ensure compliance with the requirements of IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and C-TPAT standards applicable to production.
- Lead the company's Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People (QCDP) objectives and ensure that the areas under responsibility achieve their performance targets.
- Establish QCDP targets for each GAP under responsibility and implement improvement plans to achieve the desired results.
- Understand, interpret, and implement quality fundamentals within the assigned areas to prevent defective products from being delivered to customers.
- Configure DMC equipment within the assigned area.
- Ensure compliance with the 7 Employee Empowerment Basics (7 EE Basics) within the areas of responsibility.
- Implement and continuously improve standardized work within the assigned areas.
- Ensure strict adherence to 5S standards.
- Maintain communication with the UAP Manager, Production Supervisors from other shifts, and support functions to enable a transparent flow of information.
- Lead workshops to improve efficiency, enhance quality, and reduce waste within the assigned areas (HOSHIN, SMED).
- Manage the personnel under their responsibility.
- Ensure proper staffing levels within each Autonomous Production Group according to customer demand.
- Validate attendance and overtime records of employees under their responsibility to ensure accurate payroll processing.
- Promote the professional development of team members by conducting job evaluations in a timely manner, as established in the collective labor agreement.
- Understand, interpret, and apply the Internal Work Regulations.
- Ensure that personnel under their responsibility have and properly use the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Manage and coordinate the training of personnel under their responsibility.
- Ensure that working conditions fully comply with safety requirements. Implement and monitor mandatory safety rules within the areas of responsibility.
- Commit to attending all job-related training sessions scheduled by management and apply the knowledge acquired as part of a continuous improvement process.
Your profile and competencies to succeed
The ideal candidate will have/be:
Minimum education level: Preferably a degree in Industrial Engineering, Automotive Systems Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field / Minimum of 2 years of proven experience.
Experience:
- Preferably knowledge of automotive industry processes.
- Availability to rotate shifts on a monthly basis.
- Knowledge of QRCI, Core Tools, PC&L Basics, HSE regulations, and customer requirements.
- Basic English.
