Your mission, roles and responsibilities
The process engineer is responsible to develop the manufacturing processes and equipments for new projects on development, engineering changes, supporting continuous improvement, supporting production.
The main missions of the role are:
- Responsible to design, develop, install and debugging tools and equipment for the manufacturing processes
- Support with cycle time calculation and validate after installation of the process equipment (MTM).
- Ensure manufacturing feasibility and participate for product FMEA and PFMEA
- Suggest technologies for the manufacturing process
- Define cycle time in line with takt time and standard operations
- Integrate ergonomics principles in product design
- Establish manufacturing routines
- Release manufacturing process documents (flowcharts, work instructions, checklists, parameters sheets, PFMEA, Poka yoke list, spare parts list, reverse PFMEA)
- Support for the plant lay-out analysis
- Prepare spec books for request of quotation of tooling and equipment
- Consolidate machinery and tools documentation to deliver to plant
Your profile and competencies to succeed
- Engineering degree
- 5 or more years of experience in automotive and metalmechanic industry, preferably in seating structures
- Experience as manufacturing or process engineer in assembly and welding (arc, laser and resistance)
- Knowledge in automation with siemens products, kuka and abb robots and Labview.
- Fluent and conversational English
