Your mission, roles and responsibilities

Overall responsibilities and duties:

 

 

As program manager in serial life, he/she will maintain overall responsibility of the program/s. Will be responsible for program improvement actions, guaranteeing profitability, ensuring product technical and quality conformance, and customer satisfaction. The program manager will have to ensure Quality, Cost and Delivery objectives, from handover to production throughout the entire end of lifecycle.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

 

  • Act as official FORVIA Program representative towards the customer to support its expectations while preserving company from risk exposure (profitability, engineering change, planning, delivery)
  • First escalation level with the customer to provide support and coordinate necessary efforts to resolve customer concerns
  • Lead serial life team and coordinate efforts with plant functions, engineering, purchasing, CBU to ensure the correct operation of the program. Ensure the necessary resources are provided and are aligned towards program’s objectives and arbitrate top issues internally/externally)
  • Lead program reviews with the team to ensure program KPIs are met
  • Manage and monitor all program performance indicators: financial (OI), Quality (PPM, Scrap, customer rating), Deliverables (on time shipments/IBF/OBF costs under control), Supply chain disruptions and program commercial standing
  • Manage and execute all VA/VE, product and process changes (ECR´s, relocations, volume changes, tool life, capacity)
  • Ensure no operation disruptions occur in the program including tracking of tooling life, follow up with team to close quality and operation tasks
  • Manage program financials and analyze program risks and opportunities while maintaining a roadmap and financial forecast
  •  Track closely convergence plan with clear actions and ensure responsible function close tasks on time
  • Maintain the accurate program reporting and on time escalation process (manage necessary alerts and ensure corrective actions are in place)
  • Liaise with the Plant Controller to release investments in compliance with controlling procedures; take economical responsibility for all deviations from initial requirements
  • Monitor the Program and Model Year Launches and engineering changed: track progress by maintaining program roadmap (aligned with Actual-P of the plant), Program status overview and Budget Reports
  • Ensure the compliance of programs with customer quality systems, HSE safety and regulation standards
  • Demonstrate planning and organization skills to monitor program correctly
  • Demonstrate leadership skills and team work mindset to work along the plant to meet program objectives and P&L results. Maintain a strong relationship with the Operations and Manage convergence plan to achieve the targets.

Your profile and competencies to succeed

  • Bachelors degree minimum, Masters degree, ideally in engineering highly preferred
  • Minimum 6 years of experience (in an industrial environment and/or with product experience a plus)
  • Results orientation
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Conflict management skills : ability to prevent and solve conflicts
  • Ability to work in a matrixed organization
  • Good knowledge of Program standards, tools and methods
  • Fluent in English and in the customer language
  • Ability to establish, develop, lead and unite a team
  • Strong financial knowledge (incl. building and following a Business Plan)
