Your mission, roles and responsibilities

•    7-10 years of experience in Sheet Metal Forming, simulation and manufacturing feasibility of sheet metal parts.
•    Carry out part feasibility studies to confirm manufacturing process viability.
•    Perform forming simulations using AutoForm to assess manufacturability and material behavior will be an added advantage.
•    Prepare rough method plans and feasibility reports for sheet metal components.
•    Evaluate tooling cost implications due to part design changes.
•    Collaborate and communicate effectively with the cross-functional team for countermeasure implementation and design optimization for stamp components.
•    Exposure to international stakeholder communication.
•    Basic working knowledge of CAD viewers.
•    Exposure to Stainless Steels and Spring Back Compensation techniques.
•    Basic understanding of progressive tooling layout design and press tooling cost estimation.
•    Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
•    Aware the techniques of Zero based costing for stamp components and tooling.
•    Strong understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and quality assurance standards with reading of drawings and tolerances.
•    Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
•    SAP knowledge for PR Approvals /PO Approvals 
•    BOP part development and supplier follow-up
•    Good experience in Welding tools & Checking fixtures
•    Internal safety audit, and gap filling.
•    Program cost tracking and monitoring.
•    Knowledge of TISAX, ISO 9001, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, IATF 16949:2016 standards, with a focus on compliance support. 

Your profile and competencies to succeed

Minimum education level 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably in production or mechanical engineering

Professional Experience 

  • At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in the auto industry

Skills and competencies

  • Technically skilled on product and process design, such as FMEA, TAKT time, and ergonomics
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • International mindset, with the ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • English required, other languages are a plus
