Your mission, roles and responsibilities

Overall responsibilities and duties:

The role of the Quality Engineer is to support, as the Quality representative within Production, the assurance of product conformity in accordance with the Control Plan and the correct application of Quality principles – the 8 Basic Quality Principles in production – under the supervision of senior quality personnel. The Junior Quality Engineer contributes to maintaining compliance with the IATF 16949 standard through teamwork, continuous improvement activities, and the development of people within the framework of the Forvia Excellence System (FES). Additionally, the position supports and promotes a culture of environmental care in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 14001 standard.

The main missions of the role are:

  • Ensure compliance with the requirements of the implemented management systems IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and C‑TPAT, with a focus on Quality.
  • Define and update inspection instructions in accordance with the Control Plan (e.g. Final Inspection Instructions, First OK Piece, Control Charts, etc.).
  • Approve work instructions on production lines and ensure that all required inspections are included, that the necessary inspection time is reflected in the standardized work sheets, and that measurement equipment is available and compliant with MSA requirements, under supervision when applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with and respect of the Control Plan.
  • File and maintain all Quality records in accordance with the Control Plan and the record retention procedure.
  • Support Production Supervisors in the implementation of the 8 Basic Quality Principles (training, implementation, follow‑up, and alerting in case of deviations).
  • Perform regular audits across all shifts to ensure compliance with standardized work by operators.
  • Actively participate in 8D / FAST / KATA activities within the UAP and ensure the rigorous application of the methodology, under guidance.
  • Update UAP Quality indicators on a daily basis and ensure that quality KPIs are followed by line GAP leaders.
  • Support and contribute to continuous improvement activities within the UAP.
  • Has the authority to stop any non‑conforming product and/or process and immediately escalate the issue to the Quality Manager.
  • These responsibilities are indicative and not restrictive, and the role may perform other related activities as required.
  • Support new project activities and Engineering Changes within the assigned area.

Your profile and competencies to succeed

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Recent graduate in:
  • Industrial Engineering
  • Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering or related field

Experience :

  • 3 years of experience in Automotive Industry
