Overall Responsibilities and Duties

Faurecia Clarion Electronics (FCE) is seeking a Software Architect to lead software architecture activities for automotive products and platforms. The role is responsible for defining, evaluating, and maintaining software architecture, allocating requirements, ensuring traceability, and supporting the development of scalable, secure, and ASPICE-compliant software solutions from RFQ through production.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain software architecture based on functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Allocate software requirements to architectural elements and ensure end-to-end traceability.
  • Define software interfaces, system interactions, timing behavior, and resource utilization (RAM, ROM, Flash).
  • Evaluate architecture alternatives and recommend optimal technical solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with ASPICE, Functional Safety, Cybersecurity, and customer requirements.
  • Support software development teams in architecture implementation and technical decision-making.
  • Lead architecture reviews, risk analysis (DFMEA), issue resolution, and corrective actions.
  • Monitor architecture progress, performance, logging, diagnostics, and vehicle network integration.
  • Drive innovation, cost optimization, software reuse, and future architecture improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and promote engineering best practices.

Your profile and competencies to succeed

Qualifications

  • BE/B.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, or related discipline.

Experience Required

  • 10-12 years of automotive software development experience, preferably in Cockpit Electronics and ADAS.
  • Experience architecting solutions for IVI, ADAS, Displays, IMS/DMS, and Connected Accessories.
  • Strong exposure to complete automotive software development lifecycle and ASPICE processes.

Key Technical Skills

Software Architecture

  • Software architecture design, requirement allocation, and traceability.
  • Low-level software, middleware, diagnostics, networking, HMI, cloud, and application architecture.
  • Functional Safety, Cybersecurity, and software risk analysis.

Tools & Processes

  • ASPICE-compliant software development processes.
  • Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence), Rhapsody, and architecture/design tools.
  • Experience with performance monitoring, logging, diagnostics, and calibration tools.

Mindset / Attitude

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Customer-focused with a high sense of urgency.
  • Strong ownership, accountability, and decision-making capability.
  • Proactive leader with excellent execution and problem-solving skills.
