Your mission, roles and responsibilities

To direct and coordinate the Maintenance resources to ensure optimum capital utilization for the Uitenhage plant.

 

The main missions of the role are:

  • Direct and coordinate both repair and preventive maintenance requirements for all manufacturing equipment.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts:  propose and implement continuous productivity, efficiency and quality improvement actions.
  • Develop capital budget requirements to adhere to established facilities standards except new programs.
  • Define and monitor quality, cost and delivery objectives given to external companies when intervening: subcontracting, ordinary and major maintenance actions, energy, security systems.
  • Direct the management of spare parts warehouse.
  • Recommend safety policies and assure safety/legal controls are tested and reliable
  • Be responsible for the computer aided maintenance management system.
  • Ensure the continuous development and coaching of Maintenance & tooling team.
  • Uphold Faurecia’s Code of Management and Code of Ethics.
  • Direct plant maintenance engineering standard applications and strategic intent.

Your profile and competencies to succeed

Qualification/s

The minimum qualification/s required for this position is/are:

  • Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma in Engineering or related field

 

Knowledge & Experience

  • At least 7 years of maintenance/engineering experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment

 

Skills & Competencies

  • Working knowledge of Quality systems and Health, Safety & Environment skills
  • Strong computer knowledge and skills
  • Strong people management and interpersonal skills
  • Innovation and change management skills
  • Able to accommodate ~15% - 20% travel (domestic & international)
  • Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management
