Your mission, roles and responsibilities

The PC&L Customer Contact is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of OEM inventory control and demand forecasting. This role serves as the primary customer service contact, managing forecast volumes and customer relationships for Honda, Denso, Honda Service (AHM), and Subaru.

The main missions of the role are:

  • Prepare and analyze inventory related and sales forecast reports including valuation and variances.  
  • Monitor monthly sales forecast validating release data and customer trends
  • Validates EDI forecast for short and medium term assigned accounts.
  • Timely completes reconciliation of OEM inventory records.  
  • Participate in decision making for long term service requirements and reserve planning.
  • Key customer contact for assigned OEM accounts.
  • Plans, places and follow up to weekly supplier’s orders.
  • Run weekly MRP (monthly reporting planning)
  •  Identifies potential inventory problems and takes corrective action which includes processing cancellations, order changes to the supplier and expedition of special request orders
  • Constant monitoring of assigned accounts using daily, weekly and monthly reports and delivery plans.
  • Maintain accurate demand data in SAP
  • Ensure customer deliveries
  • Ensure correct planning SAP parameters

Periodic Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Forvia Core Systems (FCS) and Finance teams to improve inventory management, sales forecasting, EDI processes, and related systems.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and recommend process enhancements.
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Supply Chain Manager and PC&L Supervisor as needed.
  • Serve as a backup resource for other members of the PC&L team.
  • Participate in meetings with Asian suppliers outside of regular business hours, including late afternoon meetings when required.

Your profile and competencies to succeed

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field required.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Production Control & Logistics (PC&L), Supply Chain, Materials Management, or a related function within a warehouse/manufacturing environment.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and customers.
  • Proven ability to resolve issues professionally and diplomatically while maintaining positive working relationships.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Drive results, optimizes work processes, collaborates with others.
